Clinical Medical Assistant

Job Summary

  • Provide medical assistant support within an outpatient mental health clinic setting.
  • Assist in managing prior authorizations, pre-certifications, and medication refills.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records, charts, histories, medication lists, dosages, and side effects.
  • Code and complete insurance forms accurately.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge and experience with EMR/EHR systems.
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM (words per minute).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
  • Ability to answer and screen incoming calls.
  • Adherence to established office policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Communicate accurately with patients and team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient data and information.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship and cooperative work environment.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Job Requirements

  • Experience handling prior authorization, pre-certification, and medication refill processes.
  • Experience updating patient medical records, uploading patient charts, updating patient histories, and tracking medications, dosage, and side effects.
  • Coding and completing insurance forms.
